Graham was a student of Kenshiro Abbe, Masutaro Omani, both Judo and Nakazono Sensei, Aikido. In 1979 while swimming Graham drowned.
With over 50 years in Judo Dave Crane sr. still trains and coaches

While Boxing at Star of The Sea in the mid 1990’s he meet and trained with Yuri, a former Russian Boxer and trainer who defected while on the way to Cuba as a coach. Besides a Russian coach Yuri was a former Moldivian boxing champion, Red Army Boxing champion, and Russian Boxing champion. David later introduce Yuri to the Kempo association where he trained the Kempo students boxing on Saturdays.

Dave brought the International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF) to Edmonton in 2011. He was the first and only IKMF School in Edmonton and when Grande Parrie Krav Maga closed he was the only sanctioned IKMF school in Alberta, until he rebranded under KRAVolution in November 2017. For the longest while was the only club in Western Canada sanctioned by the IKMF and grew his club(s) to be one of the biggest in Canada, and has many long-term students. Now he is the only club in Western Canada sanctioned by KRAVolution headquarters Israel.
The IKMF was moving away from the original ideologies of Krav Maga, being an open and adaptive system, to being more streamlined and narrow in focus, trying to close the system and push students through quicker. This was also noticed on an international level by high level Global Instructors (GIT), who requested that the IKMF take action against the breakdown of the system.
Due to the IKMF’s unwillingness to listening and change a major split globally happened in the Fall of 2017 and KRAVolution grew and has since become the fastest growing Krav Maga system in the world. Not only did individual schools leave to join KRAVolution but countries, militaries, Law Enforcement along with various other agencies around the world.
As Megan stated in the above video KRAVolution stays true to the original ideologies and principles of Krav Maga, being an open and adaptive system, and evolving for the better.
We LISTEN and EVOLVE!
We are fighters not technicians. We are KRAVolution.
Since its inception, Krav Maga was created out of necessity. It was a solution to the problem of physical violence. Built on natural reactions, it follows very clear principles which are powered by the fighter within. It’s that simple. Here at KRAVolution we focus on making our members the best fighters they can become. We focus on the principles they need to confront violent scenarios. We also help them develop the aggression required to win the fight, because at the end of the day it’s the only way realistic self-defense can work. Techniques are the tools they need to solve these problems… that’s training. Let’s be clear, we are developing fighters who are master tacticians, not technicians who fight.
No Master decides on his own about the teaching methods or the curriculum. It is the decision of the KRAVolution Instructor Team how we continually develop the system. The system will be constantly tested by professionals all around the world and is verified by the new developments and knowledge of its professional users. – KRAVolution – Our Mission
